In 2012, PEI purchased Heat Tech New Zealand and entered the Heat Treatment market. The heat treatment discipline was seen as a complementary business supporting the pressure equipment fabrication and site installation works that PEI was undertaking.
Re-branded as PEI Heat Treatment, the heat treatment division has been a very successful acquisition for the business, and now has the benefits of the PEI approach on standardisation of heat treatment procedures and higher quality standards.
